Questions we get asked
Which utilities pay HVAC rebates around York?
Most power companies around York run EnergyWise, which pays $400–$1,200 on a qualifying heat pump. MEAN towns like Crete and Fairbury run their own program. Black Hills Energy pays $150–$600 on a new high-efficiency gas furnace.
Do you file the rebate paperwork?
Yes. We fill out and send in the utility forms for you after the install. You sign where the utility needs your signature.
Is there a federal tax credit in 2026?
No. The federal 25C credit for heat pumps and furnaces does not apply to systems installed in 2026. Utility rebates still do.
How long does the rebate take?
Black Hills Energy pays in about 6–8 weeks after the form is filed. Other utilities vary; we tell you what to expect at the visit.
Does a new air conditioner get a rebate?
Not on its own. A heat pump cools the same way and does qualify, so we price both when you ask.
