Do I have to register the parts warranty myself?
No — we file it with Carrier the day we finish, and that registration is what locks in the full 10 years. Unregistered systems fall back to a shorter term.
What does labor protection actually cover?
The labor to diagnose and replace any part the manufacturer's warranty covers. Without it the part is free but the visit and the hours aren't — on a compressor, that's the bigger number.
Who stands behind it?
Porch, a national warranty administrator, so it holds up years down the road. It also carries an allowance for wear items parts skips — filters, capacitors, refrigerant.
Can I transfer it if I sell?
Yes, once, to the next owner within its term. A real selling point when you list the home.
Is labor protection required?
