The unit is the easy part — the crane, the curb adapter, the electrical, the controls and the day the building can be down are what decide whether it goes smoothly. We fabricate our own sheet metal and we bid from engineered drawings every week.

We bid from drawings and specs or from a walkthrough, with the scope line-itemed and exclusions stated plainly — so you can compare bids on the same basis instead of guessing what the low number left out.

Straight answers

Questions we get asked

Do you bid from engineered drawings?

Regularly. Send the mechanical set and specifications and we'll bid the scope, including submittals, equipment procurement and coordination with the general contractor. We do a significant amount of school and municipal work on exactly that basis.

Can you replace a rooftop unit without closing the business?

Almost always. Most changeouts are a one-day crane and set, scheduled overnight or on a closed day. We stage the equipment and curb adapter in advance so the actual disruption window is short.

Will a new unit fit the existing curb?

Sometimes directly, more often with a curb adapter — which we account for in the bid rather than discovering on crane day. That's a common source of change orders from contractors who didn't check.

Do you do the sheet metal in house?

Yes. We fabricate our own duct, which means transitions and curb work don't wait on an outside shop's schedule.

What about high-efficiency incentives?

Utility rebate programs change year to year. We'll tell you what's currently available for the equipment class you're considering and provide the documentation the program asks for.
